Mindy Tran
Tokyo, Japan ('24)
Hi, my name is Mindy Tran. I'm a PhD student in the Human-Centered Security and Privacy group at Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy (MPI-SP) where I'm fortunate to be advised by Dr. Yixin Zou.
My research interests are broadly at the intersection of human-centered security & privacy and accessibility. I use various research methods, including interviews, co-design, surveys using descriptive statistics, and content analysis. Much of my recent work has centered on the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) people, including understanding their security and privacy needs and co-designing accessible security and privacy advice materials. In addition to my research experience, I'm also passionate about more technical topics that involve software development and building practical solutions.
Thank you for checking up on me. I'm always happy to chat, just send me an email :)
